Marketplace in Steyr, Austria

This is a very old print that looks to have been professionally matted and framed in the early part of the twentieth century. It has been signed in pencil by the artist, Hans Philips. I think someone visited Steyr, Austria and brought this print back with them and, perhaps, had it framed as a gift for a friend who was also familiar with Austria. A caption was added to the mat that reads "From the old Ire-town, Steyr". I corresponded by email with a nice man who presently lives in Steyr and he said that the area was very popular as an iron mining and smelting district at the turn of the twentieth century and was nicknamed " the Old Iron Town". The print is of a fountain that still exists in the old marketplace area of the town.
