SACANDAGA LAKE APRIL 12TH

Here are some photos of the Sacandaga Reservoir taken April 12th. Spring is not quite here yet! I was told the lake ice reached 28-36" thick in places this winter. There were more cars and trucks driving on the lake than there were snowmobiles! The days are getting much warmer and the sun is hot but what must a 30 mile long ice cube be doing to the climate around the lake? I suspect spring will be a little late this year.
